Canson Capital and Simest Invest in Casa del Gelato with Legal Support from Forvis Mazars and Legance

Forvis Mazars advised Canson Capital Partners and its co-investors, Legance advised Simest, Simest’s in-house legal team participated in the deal, and a consultants' team led by Stefano Lugli assisted Casa del Gelato and its founding shareholders. Canson Capital Partners and Simest have finalised an extraordinary transaction that provides for the investors to enter a corporate vehicle created to acquire 50% of the share capital of Casa del Gelato, a Modena-based company active in industrial gelato production. The transaction was executed through a capital increase entirely financed with equity. The involvement of the new partners will enable Casa del Gelato to implement its new industrial plan, which envisages significant investments to expand production capacity, develop a new plant focused on sustainability and innovation, and evaluate potential strategic acquisitions. Simest, a company of the CDP Group that has supported the internationalisation of Italian companies for over thirty years, participated in the operation using resources from the Growth Section of Fund 394/81, managed under agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Forvis Mazars represented Canson Capital Partners and its co-investors with a team composed by: Massimiliano Vento (partner, law leader) and the lawyers Andrea Gambardella (partner) and Davide Mauro, advising on legal, tax, financial and HR aspects. Legance represented Simest with a team composed by: Andrea Sacco Ginevri (partner), Lorenzo Locci (managing associate) and Lucrezia Fioretti (senior associate).
