Watson Farley & Williams advises lenders on €612m financing for Repsol Renovables' 700+ MW Spanish renewables portfolio

"Watson Farley & Williams advised a consortium of lenders — Banco de Sabadell, Abanca Corporación Bancaria, Caixabank, BNP Paribas, Unicredit Bank and Instituto de Crédito Oficial — on a €612m financing to Repsol Renovables for a Spanish renewable energy portfolio of wind and photovoltaic assets totalling more than 700 MW. This follows a €348m financing secured by Repsol in December 2024."

Watson Farley & Williams advised a consortium of lenders — Banco de Sabadell, Abanca Corporación Bancaria, Caixabank, BNP Paribas, Unicredit Bank and Instituto de Crédito Oficial — in connection with a €612 million financing granted to Repsol Renovables. The financing was provided for a Spanish renewable energy portfolio comprising wind and photovoltaic assets with a total installed capacity of more than 700 MW. The transaction represents project financing secured to support the construction and development of those renewable assets. This transaction constitutes Repsol’s second renewable project financing, following a €348 million financing secured in December 2024 for the construction and development of a separate 400 MW Spanish renewable energy portfolio.
