Linklaters and Simmons & Simmons advise on Unicredit's first structured note in Italy tokenised on public blockchain

"Linklaters advised Unicredit and Simmons & Simmons advised registry manager Weltix on Unicredit's issuance of a FinTech Decree‑compliant structured note fully digitalised and recorded on the Polygon POS public blockchain via Weltix using BlockInvest technology. The product, for Unicredit Wealth Management professional clients, is capital protected and indexed to Euribor 3M."

Linklaters advised Unicredit, and Simmons & Simmons advised the registry manager Weltix in the transaction. Unicredit completed the issuance of a structured note compliant with the Italian FinTech Decree. The instrument was fully digitalised and recorded on the public Polygon POS blockchain by the registry manager Weltix, which made use of a technology platform developed by BlockInvest. The product was designed for professional clients within Unicredit's Wealth Management segment and features capital protection with returns indexed to Euribor 3M.
