DLA Piper advises Nuveen Infrastructure on purchase of 493.2 MW onshore wind portfolio from Gruppo Hope

DLA Piper represented CEF Italsun (a company owned by Nuveen Infrastructure) in the acquisition of an onshore wind portfolio from Gruppo Hope. Nuveen Infrastructure, active in developing renewable energy production projects, with the assistance of DLA Piper acquired from Gruppo Hope — a company specialised in the development of utility-scale renewable energy plants — a portfolio composed of five onshore wind projects located in various Italian regions. The transaction also includes an option to acquire an additional wind project, for a total capacity of 493.2 MW. DLA Piper assisted CEF Italsun in all phases of the acquisition process, from transaction structuring through to closing, conducting due diligence and preparing and negotiating the contractual documentation. DLA Piper represented CEF Italsun (Nuveen Infrastructure) with a team composed by: partner and Corporate Location head Giulio Maroncelli; attorneys Gianmarco Scialpi, Martina Antonelli and Tommaso Zucchetti for corporate and contractual matters; partner Germana Cassar and attorney Chiara Colamonico for regulatory matters.
