Orrick and TARGET advise in €3.8 million funding round for startup Ogyre

Orrick and TARGET advised the parties to the transaction: Orrick assisted Ogyre, while TARGET advised lead investor Vertis SGR. Ogyre, a startup active in the recovery and traceability of marine plastic waste through the direct involvement of fishing communities, completed a €3.8 million investment round. The financing will enable the company to accelerate its international growth, strengthen its technological platform and expand its activities in the collection and valorisation of plastic waste from the sea. The round was led by Vertis SGR and saw the participation, as co-investors, of Crédit Agricole Italia and Open Venture, underscoring market interest in innovative and scalable business models in the environmental sustainability sector. Orrick represented Ogyre with a team composed by: partner Attilio Mazzilli, partner Livia Maria Pedroni, associate Gabriele Greco, Lorenzo Marinelli, Pierpaolo Suma and Matteo Manenti. TARGET represented Vertis SGR with a team composed by: partner Roberto Nigro, managing associate Sveva Ricci, senior associate Sara Aratari and associate Giordana Rossi.
