ARQIS advises Lafayette Mittelstand Capital, shareholder of Argentum Gruppe, on the acquisition of Zerbst Pflege Gruppe

ARQIS and MARCK acted on the transaction: ARQIS advised Lafayette Mittelstand Capital, the shareholder of Argentum Gruppe, in connection with the acquisition; MARCK provided antitrust advice to the parties involved in the matter. The transaction comprised the acquisition and subsequent restructuring of Alten- und Pflegeheim in Zerbst GmbH (Zerbst Pflege Gruppe). ARQIS’s advice secured continuity of operations for the Zerbst Pflege Gruppe and ensured that all facilities across a total of eight locations were maintained. The acquisition also positions Argentum Gruppe for further growth. The parties have agreed not to disclose further details; the transaction remains subject to the usual regulatory approvals. Alten- und Pflegeheim in Zerbst GmbH employs around 750 people and operates inpatient and outpatient care facilities as well as senior care facilities in Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony, Berlin and Saxony. Argentum Gruppe, headquartered in Bad Homburg, currently operates 22 facilities across Germany with approximately 1,600 employees and provides services to over 2,000 residents, including full inpatient care, assisted living, short-term care and home care.
