Norton Rose Fulbright advised mBank on the refinancing of Sunly’s existing indebtedness to Eiffel Investment Group and on financing the payment of further grid deposits for planned photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage projects in Poland. The transaction comprised refinancing Sunly’s liabilities related to grid deposits for 3.5 GW of planned PV and battery storage projects developed by its subsidiaries, together with arranging financing to cover payment of additional grid deposits for further PV and battery storage projects in Poland. The financing is intended to support the development and integration of generation and storage assets across the portfolio and to advance the region’s transition to clean electricity. Sunly is an independent power producer active across Poland and the Baltic states that develops, owns and operates renewable energy assets, combining generation and storage to provide reliable, competitively priced power.
