Weil Advises InfraBridge on Sale of Majority Stake in Leeds Bradford and Newcastle Airports to Aena

Weil advised InfraBridge, a division of global alternative asset manager DigitalBridge, on the sale of a majority stake to Aena, the world’s largest airport operator by passenger numbers. The transaction comprises the sale of a 51% shareholding in a newly formed holding company that will own 100% of Leeds Bradford Airport and 49% of Newcastle International Airport to Aena. InfraBridge will retain a 49% shareholding in that holding company. The sale values the stake at approximately £270 million. Both airports will continue to be operated and managed independently of each other. Leeds Bradford Airport plays a critical role in supporting regional connectivity and economic development across Leeds, Bradford and Yorkshire, while Newcastle International Airport serves as a key gateway to the North East of England. The transaction underscores the strong operational performance and long-term potential of both assets.
