Simpson Thacher Advises Swyft Fiber on Acquisition of Fastwyre’s Fiber Network in Louisiana, Texas and Alabama

Simpson Thacher represented Swyft Fiber, a portfolio company of Macquarie Asset Management, in its acquisition of Fastwyre Broadband’s Louisiana, Texas and Alabama high-speed fiber broadband business. The firm advised Swyft Fiber in connection with the purchase of Fastwyre Broadband’s high-speed fiber broadband operations in Louisiana, Texas and Alabama. Closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including certain regulatory approvals. Founded in 2020, Swyft Fiber provides fiber-to-the-home broadband services in Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. This acquisition will strengthen Swyft Fiber’s growing fiber network and accelerate its mission to deliver reliable, ultra-fast connectivity to rural communities in the United States.
