Slaughter and May advises INEOS on £150 million Grangemouth funding package supported by UK government

Slaughter and May advised INEOS on a bespoke £150 million funding package for its Grangemouth site. The transaction comprises a £75 million loan provided by National Westminster Bank plc and guaranteed by His Majesty’s Government (HMG), together with a £50 million grant from HMG. Securing this funding is expected to enable INEOS to upgrade key production units at Grangemouth, improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions and enhance the site’s competitiveness.
