Advising Firms in the Transfer of Milan Durando Student Residence to Ardian and Rockfield

PedersoliGattai advised Ardian and Rockfield on the acquisition; A&O Shearman assisted the lending banks; Chiomenti advised Ardian on financing matters; and EY Studio Legale Tributario advised Hines and Blue Noble on tax aspects. The transaction completed the acquisition by Ardian and Rockfield of the shares in a vehicle held by Blue Noble, an international real estate investment manager, and by Hines, a global real estate investment, development and management firm. The deal represents Ardian and Rockfield’s first acquisition in Milan in the purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) segment and concerns aparto Milan Durando, a facility located a short walk from the Politecnico campus with approximately 600 beds. This is the third PBSA investment in Italy under the two partners’ plan, which in less than a year has seen them complete multiple acquisitions across Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Germany.
