CMS advised BAM on the acquisition of a strategic minority stake in Droneview. The transaction concerns BAM's purchase of a minority participation in Droneview, a leading Dutch provider of drone services for the built environment. BAM and Droneview have collaborated for many years on housing sustainability projects, using drone technology to map housing complexes more quickly, safely and accurately. The investment aligns with BAM's ambition to further accelerate digitisation, increasing labour productivity and helping to address the shortage of technically skilled employees by securing access to crucial technology and capacity. The participation is intended to enable BAM to carry out housing sustainability projects more efficiently while ensuring that Droneview continues to operate independently. Droneview, founded in 2012, provides services across the full value chain, including drone flights and inspections, data processing, 3D modelling and digital delivery through an online customer portal. The company performs drone inspections of homes, commercial buildings, bridges and other structures and supplies accurate three-dimensional models for design and implementation. In addition to BAM as a major client, Droneview serves municipalities and customers in real estate, infrastructure and engineering, and is regarded as one of the most technologically advanced drone service companies in the Netherlands. CMS represented BAM with a team composed by: Elmer Veenman, Carola de Bruijn, Pieter de Kanter, Niels de Vries, Niels Koene, Anne Fleur Krijthe, Mara Pouw, Tom Schlatmann, Niels Sopar, Marita van der Werff, Ymke van Loon and Merel van Vliet.
