Addleshaw Goddard Advises Airedale Group on Sale to Brenntag UK

Addleshaw Goddard represented the shareholders of Airedale Group in its sale to Brenntag UK. The transaction will see Airedale Group, an £81 million turnover business based in Keighley, North Yorkshire, join the UK network of Brenntag, the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution. Airedale is expected to contribute valuable expertise and significant blending and formulation capabilities to Brenntag's UK operations. Founded in 1973, Airedale has grown from a small dye trader into a diversified chemical distributor through investment in new technologies and capabilities and through strategic acquisitions across sectors including food and beverage and metal surface treatment. Addleshaw Goddard previously advised the business on the shareholder buyout in 2024. Chris Chadwick, Executive Chairman of the Airedale Group, commented: "Our plans for expansion and diversification have always been ambitious, and, through several generations, we have built a strong supplier and customer base. With this step we will be joining a truly global player in chemical distribution, unlocking synergies for growth we can now capitalise on.
