Mandatum and Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing form joint venture to acquire Helsinki-area residential portfolio

Roschier represented Mandatum in its joint venture with funds advised by Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing. The parties have formed a joint venture to invest in residential properties in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. The venture was launched with an initial acquisition comprising approximately 360 units across seven high-quality residential properties, including four properties that were previously owned by Mandatum. The seed portfolio is located in fast-growing areas within Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa. The joint venture intends to pursue additional acquisitions in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Mandatum will hold a minority stake in the venture and will serve as the asset manager, with its real estate asset management team playing a central role in implementing the venture’s investment strategy.
