SSW Advises Axpo on Acquisition of 32-Megawatt Battery Energy Storage Project in Poland

"SSW advised Axpo on the acquisition of a standalone 32 MW / 140 MWh battery energy storage project in Poland’s Mazowieckie region. The sellers—Grzegorz Widelski, Lukasz Laszewski, Jacek Mekarski and Lukasz Czyrek—were represented by sole practitioner Ewelina Synakowska-Mazanek. The acquisition advances Axpo’s expansion in Polish energy storage and supports grid stability and renewable integration."

SSW advised Axpo on the acquisition of a standalone battery energy storage system project, while sole practitioner Ewelina Synakowska-Mazanek advised the sellers, Grzegorz Widelski, Lukasz Laszewski, Jacek Mekarski and Lukasz Czyrek. The transaction concerns the purchase of a standalone battery energy storage system located in Poland’s Mazowieckie region. The project has an installed capacity of 32 megawatts and a storage capacity of 140 megawatt-hours. The acquisition was carried out from the four individual sellers and marks another step in Axpo’s expansion in the Polish energy storage market. The deal supports the development of infrastructure critical to grid stability and the integration of renewable energy sources. SSW represented Axpo with a team composed by: Partners Arkadiusz Ruminski and Dominik Strzalkowski, Senior Managing Associate Pawel Radek, and Associates Filip Tomczak and Damian Gierasimczuk. Sole practitioner Ewelina Synakowska-Mazanek represented the sellers Grzegorz Widelski, Lukasz Laszewski, Jacek Mekarski and Lukasz Czyrek.
