GTA and DLA Piper assist ENGIE Italia in acquisition of 52 MW BESS project from ReFeel New Energy

The project is authorised, holds a 15‑year CRM‑27 Capacity Market contract, with works due Q1 2026 and commissioning in 2027."

DLA Piper advised ReFeel New Energy, while Giliberti Triscornia e Associati (GTA) assisted ENGIE Italia; ENGIE Italia’s in‑house legal team also participated in the transaction. ENGIE Italia has acquired from ReFeel New Energy, a joint venture between ReFeel and SUSI Partners focused on renewable project development, a 52 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) located in the province of Pisa, Tuscany. The project is fully authorised and has been awarded a 15‑year Capacity Market contract (CRM‑27). The acquisition forms part of ENGIE Italia’s roadmap to expand its portfolio of storage solutions in Italy. Works are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026, with commercial operation expected in 2027.
