Ashurst Advises Arjun Infrastructure Partners on Sale of Up to 50% of RE2Sources to VisionEdgeOne

RE2Sources is an Italian biomethane platform operating six anaerobic digestion plants. Ashurst previously supported Arjun on financings since 2020 and its 2023 acquisition."

Ashurst advised Arjun Infrastructure Partners on the sale of up to 50% of RE2Sources to VisionEdgeOne, assisting Arjun in the structured transaction. The transaction involves the sale of up to half of RE2Sources and its related assets to VisionEdgeOne, under a structured agreement that will make VE1 the joint-controlling investor alongside Arjun, which has owned the business since 2023. RE2Sources is a leading biomethane platform in Italy focused on municipal household waste. The company owns, develops and operates anaerobic digestion waste plants and currently owns and operates six such plants, including one under construction, with an annual processing capacity of 220 kt of waste. Its facilities produce approximately 200 GWh of biomethane as well as sustainable fertiliser and biogenic CO2. Biogas is produced primarily from organic waste collected from public and private sources and is upgraded to biomethane for injection into the national gas grid as renewable gas.
