Khaitan & Co acted as sole Indian legal counsel to MUFG Bank Limited and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation in connection with the transaction; NautaDutilh N.V. advised on Dutch law aspects and Reed Smith LLP advised on the English law aspects of the transaction. The transaction comprised a short-term loan facility of INR 250 crores extended to AM Green (India) Private Limited. The facility includes sub-limits for a letter of credit, an overdraft facility and a purchase invoice facility. The proceeds of the financial assistance are to be utilised, inter alia, towards costs and expenses of earmarked projects.
