KKR and HASI Expand Investment in CarbonCount Holdings 1 with Additional $1 Billion Commitment

"Simpson Thacher represented KKR in an agreement with HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital, Inc. (HASI) under which KKR and HASI each committed an additional $500 million — $1 billion total — to CarbonCount Holdings 1 LLC (CCH1). The expanded commitments, together with existing leverage targets, are expected to raise CCH1’s total investment capacity to nearly $5 billion and extend the investment period to the earlier of end-2027 or full utilization."

Simpson Thacher represented KKR in its agreement with HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital, Inc. (HASI) to increase capital commitments to CarbonCount Holdings 1 LLC (CCH1). Under the agreement, KKR and HASI each agreed to make an additional $500 million capital commitment, for a combined $1 billion of new investment capacity into CCH1. The co-investment vehicle, established by HASI and KKR to provide long-term capital solutions for sustainable infrastructure projects across the United States, will receive the expanded commitments to support its investment strategy. The parties expect that CCH1’s newly expanded capital commitments, combined with existing leverage targets, will bring total investment capacity to nearly $5 billion. The vehicle’s investment period has been extended to the earlier of the end of 2027 or the date when all commitments have been utilized.
