Druces LLP acted for Hydrogen Utopia International plc in connection with the company’s first institutional investor placing. The placing comprised the issue of 26,666,667 new ordinary shares at 2.25 pence per share, together with warrants issued on a one‑for‑two basis. The transaction introduces a strategic institutional investor and is described by the company as a key milestone as it accelerates the commercial deployment of its advanced waste‑to‑hydrogen technologies. Proceeds from the placing will be used to support HUI’s expansion in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region, where the company holds a Ministry of Investment Saudi Arabia licence and benefits from support by regional bodies, and to advance its role in the global energy transition. The company is partnering on the deployment of InEnTec technology to convert mixed plastic waste, hazardous, medical and other non‑recyclable waste streams into sustainable, low‑carbon hydrogen and related products.
