K&L Gates and Alpeggiani Avvocati Associati advise on over €2.6 million funding round for Random Power

K&L Gates and Alpeggiani Avvocati Associati participated in a financing transaction concerning Random Power: K&L Gates advised the founder and co‑founder of Random Power, while Alpeggiani Avvocati Associati advised the pool of strategic investors. The transaction consists of a financing round in excess of €2.6 million in favour of Random Power, a deep tech company operating in the field of quantum security. The round involved a prominent group of strategic investors, including lead investor Deep Ocean Capital SGR — as manager of the closed‑end alternative funds Deep Blue Ventures and Deep Blue Ventures Space — Emerald Development Managers LP acting as advisor manager of Emerald Investor Group II LLC Series: Random Power 2025, and other investors such as 40Jemz Ventures, Galaxia and the Polo Nazionale di Trasferimento Tecnologico per l’aerospazio. Random Power specialises in Quantum Random Number Generators (QRNG). Its technology, developed in part under the European ATTRACT programme coordinated by CERN and fully compatible with CMOS processes, addresses a central vulnerability of modern cryptography: the quality of randomness. The company converts quantum physics into industrial applications, including a QRNG ASIC for IoT devices and a 64x Multi‑Generator Board for data centre environments, positioning itself as a strategic asset for European technological sovereignty in the emerging quantum security sector. The proceeds of the financing will be dedicated to industrialisation, product certification and the strengthening of the company’s presence in Europe and the United States. K&L Gates represented the founder and co‑founder of Random Power with a team composed by: Giampaolo Salsi (managing partner), Lorenzo Fidanza (associate), Chiara Toccagni (counsel) and Ludovica Morgia (associate).
