Latham & Watkins and Facchini Rossi Michelutti advise BC Partners on strategic partnership with Fortidia

Latham & Watkins and Facchini Rossi Michelutti advised BC Partners in connection with its acquisition of a majority stake in Fortidia from the founding Fiorelli family and from funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management. BC Partners has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority share in the Fortidia group, a global platform providing shipping, logistics and marketing services. Paolo Fiorelli, chairman and chief executive officer of Fortidia, will retain a significant ownership interest in the company and will continue in his current role, collaborating with BC Partners to accelerate the next phase of the company’s growth. The closing of the transaction remains subject to the customary regulatory approvals. Latham & Watkins represented BC Partners with a team composed by: Stefano Sciolla (team lead), Andrea Stincardini, Guido Hassan, Filippo Bernasconi, Lucrezia Villa, Matteo Crespi, Lorenzo Scola and Elena Zaffaroni.
