Maverick Secures ACM Approval for Eneco’s Acquisition of Gulf Gas + Power

The concentration was notified to the ACM on 5 November 2025 and approved on 25 November 2025. Eneco supplies gas and electricity in the Netherlands; Gulf Gas + Power serves large and small customers."

Maverick Advocaten assisted Eneco in obtaining approval from the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) for the acquisition of Gulf Gas + Power. The transaction concerns Eneco, a supplier of gas and electricity in the Netherlands and part of Eneco Group, which produces sustainable energy from renewable sources such as wind, solar, water and biomass and supplies electricity and gas to large and small customers. Gulf Gas + Power is an energy solutions provider that focuses on large and small consumers in the Netherlands. The acquisition attracted extensive media attention. The concentration was notified to the ACM on 5 November 2025 and the ACM approved the acquisition on 25 November 2025.
