Hogan Lovells, Studio Legale BDL, Deloitte and Studio Verna in sale of minority stake in Cagliari Calcio

Hogan Lovells, Studio Legale BDL, Deloitte and Stefano Verna participated in the transaction: Hogan Lovells advised a group of US investors led by Maurizio Fiori of Praxis Capital Management and Prashant Gupta; Studio Legale BDL represented the seller; Deloitte supported the investors on tax and corporate matters and performed financial due diligence through Deloitte Advisory; Stefano Verna acted as tax advisor to the seller. Libra Legal Partners and Studio Business Consulting also provided specialist support. The transaction concerns the acquisition by the US investor group of a minority ownership stake in Cagliari Calcio, a club competing in Serie A. In addition to principals Maurizio Fiori and Prashant Gupta, the investor group includes high-profile figures from sport and international business. Their experience, together with contributions from other US investors, is intended to strengthen Cagliari's international profile, expand commercial opportunities and support the club's long-term sporting objectives. Studio Legale BDL represented the seller with a team composed by: senior partner Antonio Romei, lawyers Carlo Vitalini Sacconi and Carolina Romei. Stefano Verna acted as tax advisor to the seller.
