"Barakat, Maher & Partners, in association with Clyde & Co, advised Edita Food Industries on the delisting of its Global Depository Receipts from the London Stock Exchange and their conversion into local shares on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, coordinating across the LSE, EGX and the depository bank (Bank of New York, Milan) through integrated Cairo and London teams."

Barakat, Maher & Partners, in association with Clyde & Co, advised Edita Food Industries on the delisting of its Global Depository Receipts (GDRs) from the London Stock Exchange and the subsequent conversion of those GDRs into local shares on the Egyptian Stock Exchange. The transaction involved the coordinated management of multijurisdictional regulatory, listing and transfer procedures across two stock exchanges — the London Stock Exchange and the Egyptian Stock Exchange — and close collaboration with the depository bank, Bank of New York, Milan. The mandate required integrated cross-border work between the firms' Cairo and London offices to ensure timely and accurate completion of the delisting and conversion process. The outcome reflects a successful execution of a complex capital markets transaction with multiple stakeholders and regulatory interfaces. Barakat, Maher & Partners, in association with Clyde & Co, represented Edita Food Industries with a team composed by: Mostafa Elsakaa, Partner and Head of Capital Market, Cairo office; Andrew Chadwick, M&A and Corporate Finance Solicitor and Legal Director, London office; and Mohamed ElHossamy, Associate. Edita Food Industries' in-house legal team represented Edita Food Industries and was led by Lobna Khater, Chief Legal Officer and Government Affairs.
