Avvocati.net assisted Iam in the authorisation process before the Bank of Italy to operate as a manager of non-performing loans, with economic-financial support provided by Astralex Tax & Legal. The transaction concerned Iam’s application for authorisation to carry out the activity of “manager of non-performing loans” pursuant to the new provisions introduced by Legislative Decree no. 116/2024, implementing Title V, Chapter II of the Italian Banking Act (TUB). By decree of 10 December 2025, Iam became the first Italian company to obtain authorisation under the new national framework implementing Directive (EU) 2021/2167. The mandate included regulatory and procedural assistance before the Bank of Italy as well as the preparation of the economic-financial documentation required for the authorisation, including the business plan.
