GSK Stockmann Advises Catella Investment Management on Acquisition of Two Project Developments in Göttingen's Liesel Quarter

"GSK Stockmann advised Catella Investment Management GmbH on the purchase of two project developments (H40 and H50) in the Liesel Quarter, Göttingen, from WERTGRUND Wohnpartner GmbH. The assets comprise 118 market-rate apartments (7,810 sqm) plus underground parking; construction is due to start December 2025 with completion in 2027."

GSK Stockmann advised Catella Investment Management GmbH in the acquisition of two project developments in the Liesel Quarter in Göttingen from WERTGRUND Wohnpartner GmbH, a joint venture of Wertgrund Immobilien AG and Bautra GmbH. The transaction, concluded for an individual mandate, covers the purchase of two planned residential buildings including a childcare/kita area within the Liesel Quarter. The overall Liesel Quarter will be developed on approximately 37,000 square metres in several construction phases and will comprise around 570 apartments with a total living area of 44,000 square metres. Approximately 40 percent of the apartments will be offered as subsidised, price‑reduced or price‑dampened units. WERTGRUND Wohnpartner acts as the project developer. Construction is scheduled to commence in December 2025 with completion planned for 2027. The acquired buildings, H40 and H50, located on the southern part of the development site, will deliver a total of 118 free-market apartments with sizes ranging from 41 to 86 square metres and a combined leasable area of 7,810 square metres, in addition to an underground car park. The planned five-storey buildings will be constructed to Efficiency House Standard 40 and will be connected to the district heating network provided by Stadtwerke Göttingen.
