Ashurst advises lenders on $830 million refinancing of Potentia Energy national renewable portfolio

Ashurst advised a syndicate of lenders including Westpac Banking Corporation, Bank of China, BNP Paribas (Australia Branch), HSBC (Sydney Branch), Mizuho Bank Ltd, Société Générale and SMBC on the transaction. The firm acted for the lender group on an approximately $830 million portfolio financing and refinancing of Potentia Energy’s national portfolio of wind, solar and hybrid battery energy storage system (BESS) assets. The portfolio comprises more than 600 MW and includes five operational solar projects — Bungala One Solar Farm, Bungala Two Solar Farm, Royalla Solar Farm, Girgarre Solar Farm and Cohuna Solar Farm — the Flat Rocks Stage 1 wind farm, and the Quorn Park Solar and BESS Project, which is currently under construction.
