Hengeler Mueller Advises Start Right e.V. on Opening of Frankfurt Office

"Hengeler Mueller acted pro bono for Start Right e.V., advising on the opening of its new Frankfurt office and establishing a cooperation to deliver supervised, practical pro bono training, workshops and ongoing legal support on association and corporate law for social enterprises and start-ups."

Hengeler Mueller advised Start Right e.V. on the opening of the association's new Frankfurt office and will provide pro bono legal support and training to the student advisory team. Hengeler Mueller's assistance covered the establishment of Start Right's Frankfurt presence and the framework for a continuing cooperation to ensure quality-assured, practical training for student advisors. Under the arrangement, client matters will be handled under the guidance of fully qualified lawyers; Hengeler Mueller will support team management of client work, teach substantive law and methodological fundamentals, and develop tailored solutions together with Start Right. The collaboration continues and extends a long-standing partnership between Hengeler Mueller and Start Right in Munich: in Frankfurt the firm will again provide pro bono advice, deliver workshops and otherwise strengthen the students' pro bono activities. Start Right, founded in Munich in 2017 and recently awarded the federal prize in the startsocial competition under the patronage of the German Chancellor, is dedicated to supporting social enterprises and initiatives. The association focuses on areas with acute need for legal assistance and advises throughout the entire start-up process and legal implementation — from selecting a legal form and corporate law matters to structuring executive powers and drafting articles of association. Advice also covers restructuring, specific articles drafting and questions of executive liability. Hengeler Mueller represented Start Right e.V. with a team composed by: Prof. Jochen Vetter (Partner, Munich), Annika Clauss (Partner, Frankfurt), Viola de Blecourt (Senior Associate, Munich), Niklas Lewicki (Senior Associate, Frankfurt) and Laura Esmaty (Associate, Frankfurt).
