Tången acquires Swemco AB

MAQS advised the investment company Tången in the acquisition of Swemco AB. Swemco AB develops and manufactures machines for paving and asphalt work. The company holds a strong position in Sweden and is growing in the rest of the Nordic region. Swemco has a turnover of approximately SEK 60 million and offers products such as pothole patchers, gravel spreaders and adhesive moped machines, together with an established service and aftermarket business. Tången foresees that planned infrastructure investments in the coming years will create favourable conditions for continued development within Swemco’s market segment. Through the acquisition, Swemco becomes part of the business area Tången Industriteknik, creating opportunities to enhance customer benefits and to further develop the product portfolio within construction and road maintenance equipment.
