Larrain y Asociados and Latham & Watkins advised Generadora Metropolitana in the transaction, while White & Case LLP (New York) and Claro & Cía. (Chile) acted for the lending banks, and Greenberg Traurig, LLP (New York) together with Barros & Errázuriz (Chile) advised Banco BCI. The transaction comprised a non‑recourse financing package for the Dune Plus project. It included a senior term facility with associated guarantees provided by BNP Paribas - Securities Services, Crédit Agricole CIB, MUFG, Société Générale and SMBC Group, and a local VAT financing line granted by Banco BCI. Crédit Agricole CIB also acted as financial advisor. With this financing in place, Generadora Metropolitana has commenced construction of Dune Plus, one of Chile's largest hybrid energy storage projects combining photovoltaic generation with battery storage, to be located in the Antofagasta region. The amount of the financing is confidential. The transaction closed on 20 November 2025.
