The transaction comprised a $3.15 billion refinancing of Stuyvesant Town & Peter Cooper Village (Stuy Town), the iconic residential development on Manhattan's East Side. Simpson Thacher previously represented Blackstone on its acquisition of Stuy Town in 2015. Simpson Thacher represented Blackstone with a team composed by: Davis Coen, Justin Vilinsky, Ben Bogard and Isabella Newmark (Real Estate); Parker Kelsey, Shannon O'Sullivan and Nathan Calko (Funds); and Nancy Mehlman and Preston Irace (Tax).
