Pekin & Pekin, working with Baker Botts, advised the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on a USD 550 million sustainability-linked loan extended to Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari (Sisecam). The financing ranks among the largest sustainability-linked transactions in Turkiye’s glass manufacturing and packaging sector and is designed to support Sisecam’s growth and decarbonisation plans. The loan links financial incentives to environmental performance indicators and is intended to facilitate reductions in air-quality impacts. The proceeds will also support capacity expansion and cold repairs across the company’s flat-glass operations, aligning investment in operational upgrades with measurable sustainability outcomes.
