Clifford Chance Advises EDF Power Solutions and Maple Power on BW Ideol Projects Company's Entry into the Share Capital of the Méditerranée Grand Large Floating Offshore Wind Farm

Clifford Chance advised EDF Power Solutions and Maple Power on BW Ideol Projects Company's entry into the share capital of Eoliennes Méditerranée Grand Large, the company responsible for developing, constructing and operating the Méditerranée Grand Large floating offshore wind farm. BW Ideol Projects Company is a subsidiary of BW Ideol and ADEME Investissement. The transaction comprises a 15% equity investment by BW Ideol Projects Company in Eoliennes Méditerranée Grand Large. This investment builds on several years of collaboration among the BW Ideol, EDF Power Solutions and Maple Power teams in the study of floating foundations for French offshore wind tenders. The stake is intended to strengthen the Méditerranée Grand Large project by bringing additional technological expertise to the development of the first commercial-scale floating wind project in the Mediterranean Sea. EDF Power Solutions and Maple Power will select the floater technology prior to the start of the project's construction.
