Kirkland & Ellis Advises Solum Partners on Majority Investment in Greenyard with the Deprez Family

Kirkland & Ellis advised Solum Partners on its majority investment in Greenyard NV and on the partnership with Greenyard’s founders, the Deprez Family. The transaction comprises a majority investment in Greenyard NV, a global leader in fresh, frozen and prepared produce with annual revenue exceeding €5 billion. The investment follows a takeover bid and Greenyard’s delisting from Euronext Brussels in September. The takeover bid closing price implies an equity value for Greenyard of approximately €380 million. The investment, undertaken in partnership with the Deprez Family, represents one of the most significant private investments in the European produce sector in recent years.
