Hogan Lovells Advises RuNe Group on €30 Million Accordion Facility

Hogan Lovells advised RuNe Group, a portfolio company of the Connecting Europe Broadband Fund (CEBF), on a €30 million increase to its existing loan financing by way of an accordion facility. The transaction comprised a €30 million subsequent increase and amendment to RuNe’s credit facility. RuNe, a wholesale-only, open-access fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network operator active in rural regions of Slovenia and Croatia with close to 200,000 homes passed, will use the additional funding to recalibrate its business plan in line with an updated growth trajectory and to support expansion of its roll-out targets. The accordion facility is intended to strengthen RuNe’s ability to deliver on its long-term infrastructure strategy and to reinforce its position as a key FTTH provider in both markets. Hogan Lovells has advised RuNe since 2024 in connection with the existing credit facility and again supported the company on all legal aspects of this follow-on financing, reflecting the firm’s ongoing role in complex infrastructure financings across Europe.
