The transaction involved the acquisition of Neptune.ai by OpenAI. OpenAI is the global artificial intelligence developer behind the GPT family of models. Neptune.ai develops tools for monitoring, analysing and comparing machine-learning training experiments and has collaborated with OpenAI for several years, including on the creation of a metrics dashboard used in research involving foundation models.
