Uría Menéndez advised BC Partners and FREO Group on the sale of the Monumento office building, the headquarters of Novartis in Barcelona, and on the cancellation of the associated financing. BC Partners and FREO Group have sold the Monumento building, located at Gran Via de las Cortes Catalanas 764 in Barcelona, to InmoCaixa. The asset has a surface area of approximately 12,000 square metres and serves as Novartis's regional headquarters. The property comprises nine floors above ground and four underground parking levels, offering a total of 114 parking spaces. Uría Menéndez also advised on the cancellation of the financing linked to the asset. Uría Menéndez represented BC Partners and FREO Group with a team composed by: Diego Armero (partner, M&A – Real Estate); Iván Abad (partner, M&A – Real Estate); Luis Alberto Carrión (managing associate, Tax); Ana Vargas (associate, Finance); María Llosá (associate, M&A – Real Estate); and Candela Medrano (trainee lawyer, M&A – Real Estate).
