Morri Rossetti & Franzosi and attorneys Alberto Roda and Norman Regis assisted Gruppo Sampietro in accessing a negotiated composition procedure to initiate its recovery plan. The transaction concerns Gruppo Sampietro, a historic Como-based company specialised in the production and finishing of fabrics for high-end apparel and the luxury market. Facing a textile and fashion sector undergoing profound transformation — in part driven by the rise of Asian markets, notably China and India — the group elected to enter the negotiated composition procedure to launch a structured plan of financial and operational recovery. Gruppo Sampietro’s excellence in textile production has enabled it to confront the competitive challenges posed by changing markets and international competition. Through the renewal process it has undertaken, the group aims to reinforce its role within Italian manufacturing and the Made in Italy system. The company employs approximately 80 staff and reported revenue of about €12.5 million in 2024. With a fully verticalised supply chain from weaving to finishing, it combines industrial and artisanal skills to develop innovative fabrics for Italian and international luxury fashion. Morri Rossetti & Franzosi represented Gruppo Sampietro with a team composed by: Massimiliano Poppi, who led the Restructuring and Corporate Crisis team, and Salvatore Firrito, Restructuring team member. The firm followed the financial and restructuring aspects of the negotiated composition procedure. Alberto Roda and Norman Regis represented Gruppo Sampietro with a team composed by: Alberto Roda; Norman Regis. The two attorneys assisted the company on the legal aspects of the restructuring process.
