DLA Piper Advises on Memorandum of Understanding Between AGEA and Banks for the Agricultural and Livestock Sector

"DLA Piper advised AGEA (Agenzia per le Erogazioni in Agricoltura) in a memorandum of understanding with Italian banking operators to strengthen support for agricultural and livestock enterprises. The MoU seeks to optimise and innovate dedicated financial products, ease access to credit for sector companies and leverage AGEA's advanced information tools and data processing capabilities."

DLA Piper represented AGEA (Agenzia per le Erogazioni in Agricoltura), the agency controlled by the Ministry of Agricultural Policies, in the signing of a memorandum of understanding with operators of the Italian banking system. The memorandum, promoted by AGEA, is aimed at strengthening support for Italian agricultural and livestock enterprises. Launched with the subscription of the first bank, the initiative intends to create a pathway for the optimisation and innovation of dedicated financial products and to facilitate access to credit for companies in the sector. The project is combined with the deployment of advanced information tools and the ability to process the extensive informational assets held by the Agency.
