Clifford Chance Advises HIH Invest on Acquisition of Fully Let Residential Complex in Böblingen

Clifford Chance advised HIH Invest, a leading investment manager for real estate and infrastructure, on its acquisition of the "Quartier auf dem Flugfeld" residential ensemble in Böblingen from HT Group for the open-ended special AIF "HIH Wohninvest Quartiere Deutschland". The fully let residential property has a total rental area of approximately 10,300 square metres and comprises 121 residential units, a commercial unit on the ground floor and an underground car park with 181 spaces. The complex was completed in 2012; the seller, Hamburg-based investment, asset and fund manager HT Group, had acquired the property in 2013 for the closed-end real estate fund "domicilium 7". The residential ensemble forms part of the new Flugfeld urban quarter, the largest construction project in the Stuttgart region located on a former airfield. Covering around 80 hectares, the development will provide residential, commercial and service spaces with short distances to local amenities, leisure facilities and medical care.
