CMS advised UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia on the refinancing of BigBoard Praha a.s. The transaction comprised a complex refinancing structured across 17 participating entities and successfully consolidated all external indebtedness of the BigBoard Group, including the existing bond debt, under a single facilities agreement. The operation replaced the Group’s prior obligations with a unified financing structure, simplifying its capital structure and centralising creditor arrangements. Founded in 1993, the BigBoard Group is the Czech Republic’s largest operator of premium outdoor advertising, commanding roughly 70% market share and generating annual turnover of around CZK 2 billion. The Group’s extensive portfolio covers prime locations nationwide, including the Prague metro and major public transport hubs. This significant refinancing underscores the scale of the Czech advertising sector and reaffirms CMS’s reputation as a go-to adviser for high-value, complex financial transactions.
