Emera Launches C$600 Million SEC-Registered At-the-Market Offering

Davis Polk advised Emera Incorporated in connection with an SEC-registered at-the-market offering established under the multijurisdictional disclosure system. Under the program, Emera may issue up to C$600 million of common shares from time to time through the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange. The registration permits Emera to sell shares on an ongoing basis pursuant to the terms of the at-the-market facility. Emera is a leading North American provider of energy services headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with investments in regulated electric and natural gas utilities and related businesses and assets. The Emera group delivers safe, reliable energy to approximately 2.6 million customers in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
