White & Case Advises Banks on Canal+ €700 Million Inaugural Bond Issuance

"White & Case LLP advised the banks on Canal+'s inaugural €700 million bond issue. The bonds carry a 4.625% coupon, mature in 2030 and were admitted to trading on the Euro MTF of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. Net proceeds will refinance part of the credit facility used to finance Canal+'s acquisition of MultiChoice."

White & Case LLP advised the banks in connection with Canal+'s inaugural €700 million bond issuance. Following Canal+'s admission of its shares to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange in December 2024—a transaction on which White & Case also acted for the banks—this operation represents Canal+'s first bond offering. The issuance totals €700 million, carries a 4.625% coupon and matures in 2030. The bonds were admitted to trading on the non-regulated Euro MTF segment of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. The proceeds of the issuance will be applied to refinance part of the credit facility that Canal+ entered into to secure the acquisition of the MultiChoice group, a leading pay-television operator in Africa, following a mandatory public takeover offer.
