Clifford Chance advised Ares Management Corporation on the acquisition of Redback Boots. The transaction involves Ares' purchase of Redback Boots, a leading Australian footwear manufacturer that specialises in work boots and distributes products in multiple international markets. Ares' investment is intended to enable Redback to scale its manufacturing capabilities and accelerate growth both in Australia and overseas. The deal represents the debut transaction for Ares' private equity strategy in Australia. This engagement continues Clifford Chance's longstanding work for Ares; the firm recently advised on Ares' secondary market transaction with Omni Bridgeway, a complex continuation-fund structure involving more than 150 investments.
