Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Khaitan & Co act on Biocon Limited acquisition of Biocon Biologics stakes from Serum Institute and Viatris

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Serum Institute, and Khaitan & Co advised Viatris Inc, in transactions by which Biocon Limited will acquire stakes in Biocon Biologics Limited. Biocon Limited will acquire the stake held by Serum Institute in Biocon Biologics through a share swap arrangement valued at ₹2,250 crore. Separately, Biocon will acquire the stake held by Viatris Inc for total consideration of $815 million, of which $400 million will be payable in cash and $415 million will be paid through a share swap arrangement.
