Latham & Watkins Advises Blackstone Credit & Insurance on Spin-off of AmTrust’s Global MGA and Fee Businesses

Latham & Watkins LLP represented Blackstone Credit & Insurance in the transaction with counterparty AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., a global specialty property and casualty insurer, and Blackstone Credit & Insurance completed the spin-off of certain of AmTrust’s Managing General Agencies (MGAs) and fee businesses in the United States, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe into a new, independent company. The transaction was structured as a strategic separation of those MGA and fee businesses to establish an independent operating platform serving those markets.
