Pirola Pennuto Zei & Associati advised Groupama Assicurazioni S.p.A., and Studio Legale Delfino e Associati together with Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, supported by counsel Antonio Scognamillo, advised Assicurazioni Rischi Agricoli VMG 1857 S.p.A. in extraordinary administration and its shareholder represented by the Extraordinary Commissioner. Groupama Assicurazioni S.p.A., a leading insurance company operating in the Italian market, acquired 90% of Assicurazioni Rischi Agricoli VMG 1857 S.p.A., a company active in the market for agricultural risk coverage arising from adverse weather events and currently in extraordinary administration. The acquisition makes Groupama Assicurazioni the sole shareholder of VMG 1857 S.p.A., as Groupama already owned 10% of its share capital prior to the transaction.
