Hogan Lovells advises Brooge Petroleum and Gas Investment Company FZE on US$167 million sukuk issuance and US$147 million bond refinancing

"Hogan Lovells acted as lead legal counsel to UAE-based Brooge Petroleum and Gas Investment Company FZE (Brooge Energy) on a US$167 million sukuk issuance and the refinancing of US$147 million Nordic bonds following its acquisition by Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC. HSBC’s Private Credit team served as sole underwriter and arranger, supported by HSBC’s Debt Capital Markets team."

Hogan Lovells acted as lead legal counsel to Brooge Petroleum and Gas Investment Company FZE (Brooge Energy) in connection with a US$167 million sukuk issuance and the refinancing of US$147 million Nordic bonds. The transaction comprised a landmark US$167 million Islamic financing for the enlarged Brooge group and the refinancing of US$147 million in Nordic bonds. The financing follows Brooge’s recent acquisition by Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC and is intended to support the group’s strategy to build a more integrated and sustainable platform in energy logistics and storage. HSBC’s Private Credit team served as sole underwriter and arranger, working alongside HSBC’s Debt Capital Markets team to execute the complex financing solution.
