A&O Shearman Advises Arranger on Financing for TwentyTwo Real Estate and Azora Capital Acquisition of Emeis Senior-Residences Business in France

The portfolio comprises 16 recently built assets (c.1,900 units); Les Jardins d’Arcadie will manage the residences under a long-term contract."

A&O Shearman advised the arranger, Société Générale, in the financing for the acquisition, while Orrick advised the sponsors, TwentyTwo Real Estate and Azora Capital. The financing supported the acquisition by TwentyTwo Real Estate and Azora Capital of Emeis' senior-residences business in France for approximately €160 million. The transaction covers the entire French portfolio of Emeis senior residences, composed of 16 recently built assets totaling nearly 1,900 units. The portfolio comprises seven residences currently in operation and nine residences that have been recently delivered and are vacant. Management of the residences will be provided by Les Jardins d’Arcadie under a long-term management agreement.
